Checking ignition coil.

| Primary coil : Measure resistance between between terminals 1 and 15
(arrows)
Resistance value should be 0.82 Ohms. |

| Secondary coil : Measure resistance between terminal 15 and
terminal 4 (tower)
Resistance value should be 8.25 K Ohms. |
Note: Terminal numbers 1 and 15 are embossed on the top of the coil.

| Check for signs of burning or for hairline cracks around the
coil's top surface. |
| Check the condition of the heat sensitive plug in the top of
the coil. If the plug has been pushed out, replace the coil. |
| If coil fails any of the above tests, replace it. |
Replacing Ignition Coil

| Twist and pull coil wire off coil |
| Remove the 6 and 8mm nuts securing terminals 1 and 15 to
coil. |
| Loosen 10mm bolt securing coil bracket to body and slide coil out of
bracket. |
